Everything you need to know before you buy...
All of our wedding stationery is made especially for you, so please read our terms and conditions carefully before placing your order.
We will send you a free sample invitation in your chosen design, and are more than happy to provide samples of any other items you may require. Further invitation samples may be provided free of charge at our discretion, however we do reserve the right to make a charge to cover the cost of our time, materials and postage. This charge will be redeemable against your order.
Our samples are made to order, so please be patient and allow 7 working days for delivery.
Fonts and Wording
You have complete control over how you word your invitations and we are always happy to offer suggestions if you're unsure. Click here to see our standard wording and choice of fonts.
Special Requests
All of our stationery is handmade to order, so we can easily tweak our designs to match your colour scheme. We are always happy to help, so if you have any special requests, do just let us know.
Large Orders
If you're planning a big wedding (anything over 200 guests), please get in touch before placing your order. We can provide you with a personalised quote which will hopefully save you money. We can also advise you of lead times as we may need a little longer to make your order.
Ordering & Payment
We now have two ways to order:
Our new online shop is quick and easy to use. Payment is processed securely through Paypal, giving you the option to use your credit or debit card or your Paypal account.
If you prefer to do things the old fashioned way you will receive an order form with your chosen sample. or you can download an order form here. To place an order, simply return your completed form with 50% deposit. The balance will be due 2 weeks before we dispatch the final part of your order (usually a month before the wedding).
Please make cheques payable to R. Barrett, or if you prefer to make a direct transfer, please contact us for account details.
To ensure continuity and guarantee prompt delivery, it is helpful if you can order everything together. Please check numbers carefully when placing your order, as we may not be able to supply extras at the last minute. It is a sensible precaution to have a few spares in case of mistakes or late additions to the guest list. If you are unsure about what to order, please get in touch.
Proofs
Once you have placed your order, you will receive a set of proofs. Each item needs to be thoroughly checked to ensure that all details - such as names, dates and venues - are correct. We will only start work on your order once you have approved the proofs.
Important: You will be charged for any additional costs incurred due to changes after the proofs have been approved.
If you do need to make changes, please let us know as soon as possible! The sooner we know, the less it will cost to make any changes.
Timing
As a rule we will need 5 weeks to produce your invitations, from the date we receive your signed proofs. At particularly busy times, we may need longer. Very large orders may also need longer. Please get in touch ASAP and we can advise you of lead times.
Delivery
We will deliver your order to any address within the UK Mainland, using Royal Mail Special Delivery. This will require a signature on arrival, so please choose a delivery address where someone will be able to sign for the parcel.
We can deliver outside of the UK, but please contact us before ordering, so we can advise you of delivery costs and lead times. Please note, we cannot guarantee delivery to addresses outside the UK.
Unless otherwise specified at the time of ordering, we will send items out in 2 batches: Invitations will be dispatched within 5 weeks of receiving your signed proofs. All other items will arrive at least 2 weeks before the wedding date. Please let us know when ordering if you require these earlier.
CancellationAs everything is made to order, we regret that we will be unable to refund any money paid in case of cancellation.
Very occasionally, due to materials being out of stock with our suppliers, we may be unable to produce an order exactly as agreed in the time specified. If this is the case we will let you know as soon as possible. We will do our best to find a suitable alternative and always send a sample for approval before commencing work. If you wish to cancel in this case, your deposit will be refunded in full.
